p29: "John b 27 Oct 1643; a housewright; settled in Hartford CT prior to 1669, in which year his land was taxed. He m Rebecca, dau of Jonathan Butler, of Hartford. His will, dated 1707, after providing for his wid (he had no chil) conveyed his estate to Jonathan Butler, and the farm has remained with the Butler family to this day. Some of Mr Bigelow's relatives attempted ineffectually to break this will."
