The date of his arrival in Americal has not been ascertained nor is it known whether he was married before or after his arrival. Nothing has yet been ascertained from American records or archives with respect to his parentage or ancestry...

He is named in a deposition of his brother Robert, dated 1639, as of New England...Elizabeth first wife died at Groton, Aug. 29, 1663... son John Lawrence of Charlestown born March 14, 1636..."
